The Botanic Gardens is located a 10-minute drive from Zyon Grand, or just four MRT stops away on the Thomson East-Coast Line from Havelock to Napier.

Kim Seng Park

Just across the Singapore River less than 10 minutes away is Kim Seng Park, a small, serene space that has a lawn, outdoor fitness equipment, shady tables, hangout areas. You can walk or jog along the well-maintained paths or unwind in the shade with a good book.

Fort Canning Park

Fort Canning Park is another historically significant Singaporean spot. Situated on a hill in the heart of the city, it is believed to be the burial ground of ancient indigenous kings. The British later established a fort there, which served as a command centre during World War II.

Today, Fort Canning Park is a lush, green space that features historical landmarks, gardens, and serves frequently as a venue for outdoor performances and cultural events.

To get there from Zyon Grand, walk about 20 minutes east till you hit Clemenceau Avenue, then go north a little and you’ll be there. Otherwise, take a bus a couple of stops from Havelock Road.

Alexandra Park Connector

Right on the doorstep of Zyon Grand is the Alexandra Park Connector, a 1.7 km stretch that goes from Zion Road to Tanglin Road. You can walk, jog, or bike along the Alexandra Canal, all while being surrounded by lush greenery and scenic views.

This connector also links up to Singapore’s extensive Park Connector Network (PCN), allowing you to move seamlessly across numerous regions without having to walk or ride on the road. Singapore is a nation of relatively active individuals, so you can expect plenty of company on its trails and walking paths.

Pearl’s Hill City Park

Walk southeast to Pearl’s Hill City Park, a tranquil green space nestled in Singapore’s iconic Chinatown district. Established in 1974, the park spans about 9 hectares and at its centre is the Pearl’s Hill Service Reservoir.

The park features winding trails, old trees, and a pond with lotus plants, providing residents nearby a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. You can go birdwatching, take some photos, relax, or go for a run or walk.
